When it comes to your care, you deserve clarity and trust from the start. Under the law, if you don’t have insurance or you’re choosing not to use it, health care providers are required to give you a clear estimate of what your services, including therapy, will cost.
This is called a “Good Faith Estimate.” It’s your right to know what to expect financially and you can ask for this estimate before you schedule a session. If you ever receive a bill that’s $400 or more over the estimate you were given, you have the right to dispute it.
Knowing what to expect is part of feeling safe and seen in your care. For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
